Identifying areas in niche branding, vertical markets, ancillary revenue streams, and developing short- and long-term strategic plans from a plethora of analytic sources is all critical to one’s professional development.


COMBINING A PASSION FOR MUSIC & TECHNOLOGY WITH AN ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT

My intro to music in 1976 was through a blue portable record player and stack of hand-me-down record albums. Consequentially, my love affair hit TILT during the 70s and 80s, the best era of music in my humble opinion.

An official career in the field of music began in the late 80s and early 90s, working retail at Sound Warehouse. Soon after, I was hired at RED (Relativity Entertainment Distribution) as an account service rep which then led to handling tour support and new release promotion as an independent consultant and publicist. My clients included artists and labels such as Righteous Babe, Capricorn, Pointblank, Blue Thumb and Osmose.

By the middle of the 90s, the digital revolution had arrived and my first love had a rival.

My fascination with digital technology was to be my new passion for the next 15+ years, working with amazing clients, building cutting edge websites, mobile apps, corporate intranets and co-creating the digital agency, Content Pilot.

Music called me back into the fold in 2014, and since then I have been honing my vast experience and skills, helping aspiring creatives and entrepreneurs with a focus on artist development and strategic brand consultation. I am additionally blessed to mentor and work with the some of the best young talent in Texas, through MediaTech Institute, where I authored the curriculum for the ever evolving Business of Music .
